Here's how to find saved posts on Facebook. In the app, open the menu (the three-line Menu tab, or your profile picture in newer layouts) and tap Saved. If it isn't there, tap See more first. On a computer, go to facebook.com/saved, or click Saved in the left menu, which may be tucked under See more. Saved reels and videos live in the same list, and you can filter it by type.
That covers most people. The rest of this guide is for the harder cases: the reel you watched but never saved, the collection you want to share, and the post that seems to have vanished.
My own Facebook Saved list is mostly Marketplace furniture I never bought and recipes I never cooked. I suspect yours looks similar.
One warning first. Facebook moves its menus around often, and the app looks a little different on iPhone, Android and the web. If a step doesn't match your screen, look for the same word nearby.
How to find saved posts on Facebook, step by step
In the Facebook app (iPhone and Android)
- Open the Facebook app.
- Open the menu. Depending on your version, that's the Menu tab with three lines, or your profile picture in the bottom bar or a top corner.
- Tap Saved. If it isn't among the shortcuts, tap See more and look again.
- Tap any item to open it, or tap a collection to see what's inside.
Facebook's December 2025 redesign moved Reels, Friends and Marketplace into the bottom bar, so the menu may not sit where older guides say it does. Saved is still inside it.
On the Facebook website
- Go to facebook.com/saved, or click Saved in the left menu of your Feed. If you can't see it, click See more.
- Narrow the list by type, such as Reels, Photos or Products, using the categories on the left or the filter at the top.
- Find your collections in the left column, and click one to open it.
Facebook's own help page on viewing the things you've saved starts from the same address.
Marketplace saves live somewhere else
Listings you saved in Marketplace have their own list. On a computer, open Marketplace in the left menu, click Buying, then Saved. If a listing you're sure you saved isn't in your main Saved list, look here.
How to find saved reels on Facebook
Facebook made this simpler in 2025. Its help center says that since a September 2025 update, all videos on Facebook are reels, apart from stories and live videos. The old Watchlist is gone too.
There are two ways in:
- Through Saved. Open Saved as above and filter by Reels.
- Through Reels. In the app, open the Reels tab, tap your profile icon at the top of the Reels screen, then tap Saved. In some versions it's on your own profile instead, under Reels, then Saved.
The Reels screen also has a Liked filter, which is handy when you liked a reel but never saved it.
How to find saved videos on Facebook
Look in the same place. Because Facebook now treats almost every video as a reel, saved videos show up under Reels in your Saved list. Videos you once marked as Watch Later moved into Saved when Watchlist was removed, so they're there too.
Facebook saved collections
Collections are folders inside Saved. One item can sit in several collections, and unsaving it removes it from all of them.
Create a collection
On a computer:
- Open Saved.
- Click Create new collection.
- Type a name and click Create.
In the app, the easiest moment is while you're saving:
- Tap the three dots (Options) on a post or reel.
- Tap Save, Save post or Save video.
- Pick a collection when Facebook offers one, or create a new one.
To file something you saved earlier, open Saved, find the item and choose Add to collection.
Who can see your collections
Collections are set to Only me by default. The other options are Public, Friends and Contributors only. Facebook lets you pick the audience when you create a collection in the iPhone or Android app; collections made elsewhere start as Only me.
Share a collection with friends
On a computer:
- Open Saved.
- Select the collection on the left.
- Click + Invite and choose the friends you want.
- Click Invite.
Per Facebook's guide to inviting contributors, inviting someone switches the collection to Contributors only, and contributors can see it, add items and comment. It's great for planning a trip together. As a personal system, it's less great, because anyone in it can add to the pile.
What happens when the original post is deleted
A Facebook save isn't a copy. It's a pointer to someone else's post.
If the person who posted it deletes it, changes who can see it or deactivates their account, your save stops working. The same happens if a group admin removes it. Facebook doesn't warn you, and there's no copy to fall back on.
So for anything that matters, screenshot the part you need (the address, the price, the ingredient list) the day you save it.
Back up your saved list with an export
- On a computer, click your profile picture, then Settings & privacy, then Settings.
- Open Accounts Center (some accounts see Meta Account instead), then Your information and permissions.
- Click Export your information, then Create export. Choose your profile and Export to device.
- Narrow the information to saved items and collections, set the date range to all time, and pick HTML to read it or JSON to reuse it.
- Click Start export.
Facebook emails you when it's ready, and the file stays available for four days, per its export instructions. Don't expect it to rescue posts that are already gone.
How to find a reel you watched but didn't save
Facebook's Activity log keeps a record of videos you've watched, and it's the closest thing Facebook has to a watch history.
On a computer:
- Click your profile picture, then Settings & privacy, then Activity log.
- Click Activity history if you see it, then use Date to jump to the month you watched it.
- Open Videos you've watched.
Facebook's help page on finding specific content in your activity log walks through the same filters.
In the app:
- Open the menu and tap Settings & privacy, then Settings. In some versions, Settings is a gear icon at the top of the menu.
- Under Your activity, tap Activity log.
- Look for Videos you've watched (some versions say Videos watched) and scroll or filter by date.
If it isn't there, check the Liked filter in Reels, any chat where you might have sent it to someone, and the comments section of your Activity log if you left a comment. If the reel was on Instagram after all, here's how to find a reel you watched on Instagram.
Facebook saved items not showing? Try these fixes
If Saved shows a spinner, a blank page or fewer items than you expect, work through these in order:
- Look for it under See more. After an update, Saved sometimes drops out of the menu shortcuts.
- Check your connection. Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data. Facebook's own fix for reels that won't play starts here too.
- Update the app, then close it fully and reopen it.
- Log out and back in if it's still stuck.
- On Android, clear the app's cache in Settings, under Apps, then Facebook, then Storage. This doesn't delete your saves.
- Try facebook.com/saved in a browser. If your saves load there, the problem is the app, not your account.
- Check Marketplace's own Saved list for listings.
If one particular item is missing rather than everything, the likeliest reason is that the original was deleted or its audience changed.
A simple system so your saves stay findable
Knowing how to find saved posts on Facebook only helps if the thing you want is easy to spot once you're there. A few habits make the difference:
- File at the moment you save. Picking a collection takes a second now. Doing it later takes an evening you'll never schedule.
- Name collections by what you'll do, not by topic: Cook, Go, Buy, Try. I explain why in how to organize Instagram saved posts, and it works the same way on Facebook.
- Screenshot the important bit. A screenshot outlives the post.
- Clear it out monthly. Spend ten minutes unsaving what you no longer want. Saving something isn't the same as using it, which is the whole point of the collector's fallacy.
Where Reminari fits
Facebook's Saved list is good at holding things and poor at handing a specific one back. I built Reminari for the "I know I saved it" moment, across every app on your phone, not just Facebook.
You share a post or link to Reminari from your phone's share sheet, or screenshot the part that matters and let Reminari read the text inside it, on your device. Later you type "that oak sideboard from Marketplace" and it searches by meaning, not exact words. Or ask a plain question and get an answer from your own saves, with the sources shown.
It can't import your Facebook Saved list, and it doesn't watch videos. It's Android first, with iOS in active development, and free to start. You can join early access here.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't I find my saved posts on Facebook?
Saved has probably moved within the menu rather than disappeared. Open the menu, tap See more, and look for Saved, or go to facebook.com/saved in a browser. If only one post is missing, it was most likely deleted or hidden by the person who shared it.
Where do saved videos go on Facebook?
They go to Saved, alongside everything else. Facebook now treats most videos as reels, so filter your Saved list by Reels to see them. Videos you marked as Watch Later before Watchlist was removed are in Saved too.
Can other people see what I save on Facebook?
No, not unless you choose to share. Saved items are private by default, and so are collections. If you set a collection to Public, Friends or Contributors only, that audience can see its name and the items in it.
Does unsaving a post remove it from my collections?
Yes. Unsaving an item takes it out of Saved and out of every collection it was in, all at once. If you might want it later, leave it saved.
