Privacy Policy

Reminari ("Reminari", "we", "us") is a save-anything, find-anything app operated by Reminari. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account information — your email address and authentication identifiers when you sign up (via email, Google, or Apple).
• The things you save — the screenshots and images, links, and notes you add; the text extracted from your screenshots; and the AI-generated titles, summaries, key points, and tags created for them.
• Folders and organization — the folders you create and how your items are grouped.
• Sharing and friends — if you connect with friends, we store those connections; if you send an item, we store the shared snapshot along with delivery/read status and reactions.
• Device and technical data — a push-notification token (only if you enable notifications) and basic technical data needed to run the service.
• Usage events — a minimal, per-user record of AI actions, used to enforce plan limits.
• Subscription status — if you subscribe, we store your plan status. We never see or store your payment card details — payments are handled by the app stores and our billing provider.
• Waitlist — if you join the waitlist on our website, we store your email address to notify you at launch.

Where your data lives, and how it's protected

• On your device, your library is stored in an encrypted local database, with the encryption key held in your device's secure keystore.
• In the cloud (when you use cloud sync), your data is stored with our hosting provider, Supabase. Your screenshots live in a private storage bucket only you can access, served through links that expire after one hour — never public URLs. Every record is protected by per-user access rules so no one else can read your data through the service.
• You can mark any item "on-device only" — it is never uploaded, synced, backed up, or processed in the cloud.

On-device vs. cloud AI

• Reading the text inside your screenshots happens on your device. No image leaves your phone for that step.
• Optional cloud AI (summaries, meaning-search, and "ask your vault") is powered by OpenAI through our secure servers. When it's on, the relevant image or its extracted text is sent to OpenAI to generate a result. The app itself never holds the AI key, and OpenAI does not use data submitted through its API to train its models.
• You can turn cloud AI off entirely in the app. When it's off, Reminari makes no cloud-AI calls, and keyword search still works.

How we use your data

We use your data only to provide and improve the service: to store and sync your saves, read and organize them, power search and chat, deliver items you choose to share, send notifications you opt into, enforce plan limits, and support you. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Website analytics

Our marketing website (reminari.com) uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to measure aggregate traffic — such as page views, referrers, and page-loading speed. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not build an advertising profile of you.

Who we share it with (subprocessors)

We share data only with the providers that operate the service on our behalf:

• Supabase — database, file storage, and authentication (hosting).
• OpenAI — AI summaries and search, only when cloud AI is enabled.
• Google / Firebase — sign-in and push notifications.
• Apple — Sign in with Apple (on iOS).
• RevenueCat and the App Store / Google Play — subscriptions, if you subscribe.
• Vercel — hosts our website and provides the cookieless analytics and performance metrics described above.
• Our email provider — for the waitlist and support replies.

We may also disclose data if required by law.

Where data is stored

Cloud data is stored in the region of our cloud infrastructure provider.

Your rights and choices

You can access, export, correct, or delete your data at any time:

• Export — the app can produce an encrypted export of your entire library.
• Delete — you can delete your account and all associated data from within the app, or by contacting us. See Delete your data.
• Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may have additional rights to access, portability, correction, restriction, objection, and deletion. To exercise them, email support@reminari.com.

Data retention

We keep your data until you delete it. When you delete your account, we remove your stored files and database records; any residual copies in routine backups are purged on our provider's normal backup cycle.

Children

Reminari is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email.
